We are Just Me & Mine, fashion label offering, fashion with philosophy. We are currently launching 2012 winter collection including accessories. Our products compete against some of the major labels in Europe and are known for their quality and price.
Just Me & Mine’s creator Cengiz Dana was born in Istanbul, his father a leading chef at the Hilton, Istanbul. Cengiz’s uncle, operating the first clothing factory using modern machine techniques. Fashion, Cengiz decided, was the direction he wanted to go, ran away from study and took an apprenticeship with his uncle. In the factory Cengiz worked his way from the bottom on the factory floor. Two years learning every aspect of the manufacturing process.
His Uncle soon became the first exporter of fashion from Turkey to the UK with the Label Faize & Sevim, producing the top haute couture in Turkey. Cengiz moved from the production floor to sales, in the top boutiques in Istanbul. His journey in fashion continued, to also include the modeling of men’s fashions, in these high end market boutiques.
The 60’s Flower Power movement was in full swing and Cengiz had finished his apprenticeship with his Uncle. Having nothing but good looks, charm and a huge grounding in fashion he took off across Europe to find the style hub of this time. Of course with his Uncles contacts in London this was his original destination. Fate however had another journey for Cengiz and Amsterdam was where he soon landed.
Cengiz recruited his brother, also working for his Uncle in Istanbul, producing great 60’s fashion and they set up production in Amsterdam. Very quickly Cengiz’s reputation in fashion grew and he was selling his own label in Amsterdam fashion stores and producing for four top labels. The world was Cengiz’s oyster after this time and throughout the 70’s and 80’s Cengiz continued to produce top fashion in Amsterdam and Istanbul.
Thirty years is along time in any industry and Cengiz decided that he would enter a period of early retirement journeying the Mediterranean in his yacht. Managing his labels, he visited the great fashion spots of Europe by sea. This was a great period for Cengiz as he reflected on his own life, philosophy and found a new talent in writing. However he also discovered that he missed the honored position in fashion he held.
Looking for new challenges he moved to China and set up production there. Very quickly he was producing for five European Labels in China for sale in Europe in the most beautiful of boutiques. Still not enough for this monarch of fashion, Cengiz decided to launch his own label, “Just Me & Mine” designed for the world market.
JMM’s showroom in Zhongshan China was opened on the 28th of May 2011. Hua Fa New World Shopping Plaza Zhuhai opened on the 14th February 2012 and Lihe Hilton Plaza Zhongshan on April 28th. We now are setting up for Franchise Marketing which is a great learning curve in our hobby of fashion. Soon we will be prepared licensed and registered for expansion. At the same time we are making ready our on-line shop concept
Soon to be released our new men’s line “BRAIZE.” We have made for all of our labels, beautiful next summer’s collections, hanging in different stunning showrooms in Europe. The owners of all of the shops, which are selling our collections, are now coming by appointment enjoying our hospitality and writing their new orders for next spring/summer and we will begin production of next summer in two weeks.
